I Dance

Beatrice Capote, from West New York, NJ, began her dance training at Amaryllis Dance Academy.  She then studied as a scholarship student at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center where she was featured in the book “Attitude, eight young dancers come of age at the Ailey school” by Katherine Davis Fishman. She attended the University Of North Carolina School of the Arts and continued her education at Montclair State University. Ms. Capote has worked with INSPIRIT, a dance company as a performer and rehearsal director, worked with Camille A. Brown and dancers, Mavericks dance company, The Wells Performance Project, Areytos Performance Works, Life Dance Company, Kyle Abraham/ Abraham. In. Motion, works by Antonio Brown (Bill T. Jones Company Member) , and Matthew Rushing (Alvin Ailey Company Member). She is currently faculty at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, Adjunct Professor at Montclair State University, and dancing in Christal Brown's new work "Miss Universe" and Camille A. Brown and Dancers on her new work "Black Girl".
